The ERP solution is based on OpenERP and it manages all the Plukka's back end operations for their online sales. The ERP solution integrates with the front end portal using web services and manages sales, purchase, accounts, warehouse & delivery management (integration with fedex). This ERP is in operation for the last 1 1/2 years and we have been providing support on a need basis. Plukka has been very happy with solution itself and the services provided by credativ.

In less than 2 years since its creation, Plukka has built a reputation in the online luxury retail space for offering high creativity and quality at extraordinary prices, due to an innovative business model. Plukka has been recognised in publications ranging from Vogue, InStyle, WWD, Elle to TechCrunch, The Wall Street Journal and Financial Times. Leading jewelry industry trade association, JNA, awarded Plukka 2013 E-tailer of the Year, and 2012 Most Innovative Retailer.
From Summer 2012, Plukka needed to select and implement an ERP solution, to manage the growing complexity of product styles and inventory movements. After a review of numerous platforms and partners for implementation, we decided on an OpenERP solution and Credativ Software (India) as our solution provider.
As a startup company with aggressive growth plans, there were two overwhelming requirements. Firstly, flexibility: we required a highly flexible and customisable ERP solution, that could be fully integrated with our bespoke e-commerce platform. Our innovative business model does not easily plug into an off-the-shelf software package, and we anticipate rapid evolution of our business model and processes as we continue to grow. Secondly, cost-effectiveness: an open-source solution, customised to our specific business needs, combined with a partner that understood our business size and cash constraints was the only way we could undertake this project.
We're confident from what we've learned that this solution can grow with our company, with further customisation and the implementation of additional modules as the business demands expand.
Credativ have proven themselves to be a true partner to Plukka in this endeavour. Their willingness to structure the project and the resources to fit our specific needs throughout the development and implementation was essential to closing the deal and commissioning the project. Their flexibility to be able to add additional, experienced developers into the team at critical phases was essential to success. With the first 2 phases of implementation completed, the OpenERP solution implemented by Credativ has already yielded the anticipated benefits, in terms of improved operational efficiency, data management and business intelligence. However, it has also yielded unintended benefits by driving our team to adopt more systematic processes across the board, and enabled us further innovate our business model and supplier relationships.
